OK, here I go. I’m an over-the-road truck driver. Been doing this for two decades now. I don’t necessarily like driving in Canada during the winter season but…..I just happen to be in Northern Canada. Not sure of the location, but I stopped here to get some dinner and I’ll tell you guys Great place. Plus they have truck parking. You won’t be disappointed. The extreme freezing weather. What can I say I’m from Georgia. -25 is not my cup of tea, but if you’re ever in the area stop by you won’t be disappointed.

We always have a great experience at Kate's. I usually get something different everytime I go there. Their gravy is famously filling, very thick and hearty. The pictures I provided are the turkey pot pie, and children's menu spaghetti. It was delicious. My girl always get their spaghetti and gobbles it up, and she's a picky eater. My turkey pot pie was delicious, turkey, famous Kate's gravy, with a light crust, it came with a side salad, fresh greens, cucumber, and julienned carrots with balsamic dressing. Not pictured is my soup which was cream of broccoli. It was so good, reminded me of the old campbells soup i used to buy but is hard to find now. I was so full from my meal that day, almost too full The restaurant is clean, comfy, with a fireplace and wooden rustic decor. Homemade baked goods are just divine! Their sticky buns are definitely a staple that you need to try when they have them, they sell out quickly. Mini cheesecakes, gigantic cookies, butter tarts, Nanaimo bars, mini loaves, cakes, etc...

Always a great place to stop, clean, courteous, well stocked, and the energy is always positive! They are careful with food intolerances without judgment. Their retail section is chalk full of handmade items… Great place to do all your holiday shopping!

Very sweet waitress. Coffee/french vanilla & spinach salad. The homemade poppyseed dressing is VERY good.

This place has something for everyone there is a huge spacious parking lot and a small variety of things located in the shop upon walking inside the door beautiful decor inside and the food was great as well and reasonably cheap the gravy was good nice flavour and thickness they also sell fresh baked treats pies deserts cheese cakes cookies and cinnamon buns lots of things to look at different crafts honey soaps snacks to go you name it and they just might have it great little place to stop for a rest and a meal

Great experience. This is one of the best places to go on the way to sturgeon falls for a reasonably priced delicious meal. Try the broccoli soup and clubhouse as a Wrap. The sweet potatoes fries are amazing.

I’ve been going to Kate’s for years, and I have to say. It’s just as good every single time I go. (I can guarantee everyone who makes the quick drive can vouch for this) I have to admit, this by far one of my favourite restaurants. I stop every single time I pass by, wether it’s for a quick bite to eat or their fresh in-house made pastries/pies. 10/10 I highly suggest making the quick drive to visit Kate’s!

We go to Kate's at least 3-4 times a year. Their open-faced sandwiches (a few to choose from) and gravy are excellent. Be sure to save room for a piece of homemade pies or other chocolate goodies!
