Went for the Sunday Brunch Buffet and everything was delicious. Great variety of food and everything was warm and fresh! Lots of things available at the buffet and they have a made to order menu as well (pictured) from which we ordered the eggs benedict, tater kegs, and waffles. Juice, mimosas and caesar's were included in the price too! We'll be back!

We go here often and love it. The restaurant area is very nice and comfy, The staff is first class, The food is amazing. We have not tried the dessert here until today and let me tell you. HANDS down the best desserts we have had in a very long time. Everything looks like a Michelin chef made and taste amazing. We highly recommend trying this place if you haven’t already.

This place deserves more than 5 stars. The food is consistently fantastic, and the staff are always welcoming, atmosphere is really nice too. Recently we had an evening event with 30 people in the back room/garage area, and from the moment I reached out to Joel, everything went so smoothly. He was quick to respond to all my questions, gave amazing recommendations of food (which everyone enjoyed) and I was impressed by the coordination alone, before the event happened. On the day of our party, from start to finish, everything was amazing. We arrived early to set up decorations, Sierra our server was so great at making sure we had enough food at all times and taking drink orders, she was so kind and accommodating. Everyone who came to the event couldn't say enough good things about the food and atmosphere. I am incredibly impressed by the whole experience we had. It is very clear that Ernie's is a staple in the Hespeler community, because of the fantastic service they provide. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great night out with good food (especially their chicken wings), and also to anyone looking for a place to host an event. Look no further, Ernie's is the place to go!

Good Friday so the restaurant was busy. The staff were smiling, pleasant, and efficient. The restaurant had full seating and people were also coming in for their fish and chips pickup orders. I had a pickup order. The fish and chips were fantastic. Great job everyone!

Amazing experience at Ernie's Cookhouse (Roadhouse?) in November 2025. We visited on a Sunday, around 4pm. It was not yet busy and probably a good thing we decided to eat when we did as it appeared they were preparing for at least one, probably two, larger group events later that evening. The atmosphere is fantastic - rustic and relaxed - and when we entered we were pleased to see there was a group of eight or 10 folks seated at a table near the door with a variety of instruments, fiddles I guess. And they played several songs over the course of our visit. Not sure what that was all about, seemed like a recreational thing. Anyways, super quaint. We were seated in a different part of the restaurant (it's quite large) so the music was more in the background and not overwhelming. Anyways - the food - oh my god, the pictures of Ernie's Burger on the website do not do justice to this masterpiece of a burger, to this new found personal raison d'etre. The burger looks like it is wearing a flowing gown of melted cheese when its brought to the table - perfectly crispy on the bottom, gooey and melted on top. It's definitely a burger where you alternate between knife and fork and hands. I could eat this burger weekly and will 100% return. Service was good - hostess and server were friendly. Tip prompt on the debit machine starts at 18% - encourage the owner to adjust that to 15% which is the normal tipping amount.

As far as being in that part of Hespler I think I would have to go back to the 80's and trips to Hespler Cylcle. This trip went exceedingly well when my father suggested Ernies for his birthday dinner. Great atmosphere, great location, great service, and great food. I'm looking forward to returning to try more items on the menu. Being a Rueben connoisseur i had to order theirs and it did not disappoint!! Solid 9/10, throw a fat pickle on the plate and it's a 10! If you haven't ventured out that way give it a go, highly recommend a visit...or 3...great looking menu!

Came in as a group of 10 without a reservation for lunch and the staff did a great job. Brought drinks out quickly, got everyone's meals and dietary restrictions right! It seemed like everyone ordered something different and it was all delicious! The restaurant was busy but the service was great. Will definitely return and would highly recommend.
