We were three people who enjoyed coffee, grilled cheese and desserts. Nice place. Good service. A bit small but quaint.

We had such a great time here! Their iced matcha is so delicious. And they have sooo many pastry options which is great. I tried their morning bun and it was super good! (There was this orange zest surprise in the middle which was very fun).Their avocado toast is also amazing. It does get super busy here especially on weekends, so it might be hard to find a spot.

The new space is lovely—much bigger and more comfortable than before. I haven’t had the chance to try the food yet, but the cappuccino and flat white were both really well done. Prices are definitely on the higher end, which stands out even these days. Service can also be a bit hit or miss depending on when you go. That said, the quality is there—you just pay for it.

Red door has been a beechwood staple for years but their new cafe with the introduction of brunch makes it the best stop in this neighbourhood. Lots of seating and delicious food options!

The Highlight: Honestly, the best latte I’ve had all year. The quality and flavor were top-tier. • The Catch: Size-wise, it was very small compared to the standard elsewhere, and they don't offer an option to upsize. • Price: Fair and reasonable, especially considering the quality. • Vibe & Service: The staff is super nice and welcoming. The location is fantastic, and everything feels incredibly fresh. Final Verdict: Go for the taste, just don't expect a giant cup! Food is incredible and worth every single penny!

Look, it's beautiful and delicious and has all the atmosphere for brunch, reading, and writing, either inside or on the new massive patio. Is it expensive? Oh yes. But a treat with flavours (green shakshuka! Kouign amann!) you can't find anywhere else in Ottawa, so consider me even more loyal as I pretend I'm off at a European cafe (currency conversion included). Plus, for folks sad about the $5 drip coffee, did you know it includes delightful free refills? WELCOME TO CAFFEI-NATION

Always a favourite, their new location is absolutely stunning. The food was delicious, and the staff are wonderful. Nuance below. :) The Nuance: Atmosphere-The new cafe is a little loud. The furniture is very comfortable. The tables are sturdy. The light is great. Visually stunning, great colours and shapes and a great diversity of seating types. 4/5 on this one. If the noise was a bit better dampened it would be an easy 5/5. Food-The food selection has very limited options if you have dietary restrictions. Please add vegan cheese options. :) The new hashbrown are *to die for.* The best hashbrown on this planet. 4/5 on this one, an easy 5 with some menu flexibility. Drinks-The coffee is still delicious. They have limited flavour options right now but I suspect their regular options will return soon. 5/5 on this one. Service-The servers are very friendly (and not like weirdly or aggressively friendly). Great people, fast service. 5/5.
