Our first visit. A cute little, very friendly place. The owner greeted us and was super polite. We had lobster roll and seafood platter. All was yummy. The scallops weren’t overcooked and the clams weren’t gritty. Large portions. Gingerbread for dessert was a little sticky but overall tasty. Good value and very inviting atmosphere. Would definitely return.

This is the first place I visited, when landing in Halifax LOL I was told by a colleague to get some seafood out here as it's absolutely amazing, and he did not lie at all. I came across this local spot looking for a lobster roll and it honestly blew me away. It was incredibly filling, actually of a large proportion and price wise. Incredible for what it was honestly. Good chunks of lobster were insane, it wasn't like a mince like you find in the states in a lot of places, it was little chunks with the mince added in. It wasn't overly sauce or buttery, it was all balanced. The bread was very good, and the chips were delicious as well, the sandwich itself was quite filling for me. Honestly. I even ranted to my wife about it, that she needs to try it as she loves lobster rolls as well. Overall, for me the food was phenomenal. If I find my way up here again, will definitely be stopping in for another plate. I highly recommend visiting, as it was nice, quaint and everybody, including the patrons were absolutely just awesome to talk to. And everybody was polite.

We stumbled upon this place after visiting Peggy’s Cove. It’s a place off the side of the road with gorgeous art on the front and we didn’t realize how good the food was going to be… so we ended coming 2 days in a row! We got the seafood platter, cheeseburger, seafood chowder, shrimp tacos, fish & chips, and calamari (over the 2 days) - everything was amazing. But the desserts had to be our favourite part. The coconut cream pie and sticky toffee pudding are some of the best we’ve ever had. 12/10 place!!

My husband and I absolutely love this place! They serve the best fish and chips we’ve ever had fresh, crispy, and perfectly cooked. Great service and a lovely atmosphere. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Love the decor! Feels like a little cafe on the shore. Best lobster roll I have ever had. Full of meat and no fillers like celery and onion! Fries were cooked perfectly and the staff were very friendly. If you like seafood, you need to try this place. I’ll be back for the clams!

We had our first visit yesterday and it was amazing. We got there right at 11am and were shocked at how many people came in after us, within minutes. It’s very clear that this is a favourite spot for many. The fish we had was one of the best we’ve tried. The batter was perfection and the haddock was white white white. Perfect. The cherry on top was the warm gingerbread desert. Don’t have this if you don’t want your already favorite to move down on the #1 board. It was a generous slice, warmed to perfection with a ginger soak on top. On one side was a serving of whipped cream and on the other, a large scoop of French vanilla ice cream, drizzled with a caramel sauce. HEAVEN! Don’t walk. Run. You won’t be disappointed. I’d post a picture but it was gone faster than the shutter could capture. We will be back.

Some of the best fish and chips I have had. Fish cooked perfectly and tasted so fresh. Scallops also very good. Fries were perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The place was busy but service was fast.

We had a good experience at Rudy and Olive Fish and Chips overall. The fish and chips were absolutely amazing—crispy, fresh, and full of flavor, definitely the highlight of our meal. We also ordered the seafood platter, but the scallops were undercooked. When we informed the staff, they mentioned that this is how they normally serve them and advised letting them know next time if we prefer them fully cooked. Apart from that, the overall food quality, service, and atmosphere were good and enjoyable. Overall, a nice place with great fish and chips.
