Sleepy Pete's worth the hype. I tried the Sausage & Egg sandwich with jalapeno cheddar biscuit and it was buttery delicious, with generous hot honey and cheese. Hash brown is fresh and crispy too. Would come back to try more!

Wow! This is what you’re looking for when you want an amazing breakfast sandwich! The jalapeño and cheddar biscuit with the jammy egg, bacon and cheese with a touch of honey was a 10/10. Just delicious…my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Somehow the sausage version was even better! Perfectly balanced with a touch of heat, sweet and savoury. The hash browns were homemade, cooked perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside. Even the coffee was excellent, both the drip and caramel cold brew! The service was friendly, everything was hot and fresh and the place was jumping. It’s small and mostly takeout, but there are a few barstools to eat there. We sat at the window and really enjoyed ourselves. Todo fue excelente y vamos a regresar pronto y frecuentemente!

Sausage + Egg Buscuit (#2) Was really yummy! Granted it was too large for my mouth in one bite, but they proved utensils! Was the only few places open in the morning, and was definitely a good choice. Went in on a rainy day, the heater wasn't working. Good vibes. No Bathroom? Cute little eatery!

Went in around 10:15am on a Sunday. Tried the egg and sausage sandwich and a fresh orange juice. The sandwich was made to order and hot and fresh! I added their house made hot sauce, and it gave it the extra kick I was craving. I regretted not getting the hash brown, the people next to me did and it looks so good. Loved all the plants! It wasn’t busy when I arrived but by the time we left it was packed. Get in early!

My boyfriend really wanted to try this place so we headed over and had a great time. It was about noon when we arrived, and it was pretty empty inside. Since we were the only ones, service was quick. They were pretty friendly too. I ordered the special which was the BBQ Chicken Sandwich, and my boyfriend got the Sausage, Egg and Cheese breakfast sandwich. We both chose the buttermilk biscuits for our sandwiches. And even though we chose our own biscuits, we were surprised to see that the biscuit size was huge and complimentary to our sandwich contents. We're just used to tiny biscuits lol. Anyways I loved my sandwich and my boyfriend enjoyed his. The chicken was good. I'm all about good sauce, so I loved the BBQ sauce. The sauce really tied all the ingredients together. This sandwich had all my favorite things in it: chicken, tasty sauce, pickles, and coleslaw. So it's no surprise that I loved it. There was a good amount of pickles in here too. This was really flavorful, and I enjoyed each bite. I also threw in a hashbrown last minute, and it was great. It was crispy, crunchy, and had a great golden brown color. Overall, just a solid hashbrown. We loved it. It was a little small inside and we didn't have much space to put our heavy coats, but that wasn't much of a problem. For a breakfast sandwich, it's a little pricey but in proportion to the quality of the sandwich and how large it is, I'd say it's reasonable. We had such an amazing experience, food was wonderful and we definitely won't forget this place. Without a doubt we'd come back again.

Visited Sleepy Pete’s in Kensington with my girlfriend on a Monday afternoon and it was not busy, very quiet. We both got the SEC on a buttermilk and jalapeño chilli biscuit. she got hash brown on the side and I got potato wedges. both sides were crispy, fresh and super tasty. I would come back just for the hash brown alone, it was delicious. the breakfast sandwiches were also made fresh with hot honey and cheese as well as chicken sausage (which is pretty neat) and a fried egg! the sweetness of the honey melded so well with the other savoury flavours and the biscuits were toasted perfectly. we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. prices were more between $15-25 as combos! fun latino rock music vibes in the store and cute décor, very little seating though! only stools and small bar counters, in the weekend it would be hard to stay in and eat there. one thing I will add is that the service could have been a little more kind, we both found that the woman behind the counter was not enthusiastic or apt to us adding a side to our order, asking to heat up our scone, etc. it was a quiet afternoon, the least you could do is pretend you are happy to be doing your job, lol.

Have had Sleepy Pete’s saved ready to try for my next visit to The Kensington Market and im so glad I did! Such a delicious and filling absolutely huge Bacon Egg and Cheese on a biscuit with a hot honey drizzle. I tried it on their cheddar jalapeño biscuit which was so good and paired it with a Grapefruit juice! 10/10 Very pleased

We tried Sleepy Pete’s in Kensington last weekend and ordered the fried chicken sandwich with the cheddar jalapeño biscuit and it was really, really good. Making the sandwich with a biscuit instead of regular bread makes such a difference. The biscuit itself was super flavorful, soft but structured enough to hold everything together, and it added so much extra taste to the sandwich. It definitely feels more unique compared to other fried chicken spots. It was around $13, which felt reasonable for the quality and portion. We’d definitely come back again!
