I recently visited Zaatargy, and it was such a memorable experience. From the moment we walked in, the space stood out; the table setup, the warm colors, and the music all came together to create a calm, relaxing atmosphere that made it easy to just unwind and enjoy the moment. The service was interesting in a good was very quiet, efficient, and to the point. It felt professional and smooth, even if not overly chatty. We still felt welcomed, which made a big difference. As for the food, it absolutely delivered. Everything tasted fresh and authentic, and the pricing is honestly hard to beat for the quality you get. It’s one of those places where you leave feeling like you got more than your money’s worth. Overall, it’s a spot I’ll definitely be coming back to. Great vibes, great food, and a solid experience all around.

The place has great relaxed vibes, with authentic Levant breakfast/brunch menu done right. Zaatargy gets packed pretty fast especially on weekend so come early. Manakeesh are the most common orders, but their hot pans, and wraps are also delicious. Karak Tea was a highlight with Kunafa (very small size though).

If you are looking for an authentic taste of the Middle East right in Mississauga, Zaatargy is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of fresh dough and spices tells you you’re in for a treat. The Food We ordered a variety of manakeesh, and every single one was a hit: Muhammara (The Red One): Perfectly spiced with a hint of sweetness and a nice little kick. The texture of the dough was spot on—crispy on the edges and soft in the middle. Meat / Lahme B'ajine: The ground meat was seasoned beautifully, savory and juicy without being heavy. It’s classic comfort food done right. Zaatar with Fresh Veggies: You can’t go to a place called Zaatargy and not get the zaatar! It was incredibly fragrant. Having it topped with fresh cucumbers, mint, and tomatoes made it so refreshing and elevated the whole experience. The Drinks To wash it all down, the fresh orange juice was vibrant and clearly made to order, and the hot tea served in a traditional glass was the perfect, cozy pairing for the savory flatbreads. If you want high-quality, fresh, and delicious Lebanese-style flatbreads, this is the spot. I’ll definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu!

This Lebanese restaurant is a delight. We found it on Google and decided to give it a try, being Lebanese food lovers and having a hankering for Middle Eastern food that night. The eggplant fallen was the most outstanding dish that evening. The eggplant pieces were perfectly roasted and they were served with pomegranate seeds, cherry tomatoes, toasted pita chips and yogurt. It was simply outstanding. The zaalar with labneb was a really fresh take on flatbread. The bread was made on site, and baked in the big open oven in the middle of the restaurant. Once done, ingredients were placed on top, fresh without baking. The addition of the sprigs of mint leaves was a stroke of genius. The fresh taste of mint injected complexity into the mouthful of freshly baked dough, labeh, thyme paste and fresh cucumber! What a combination! We also ordered sujuk and eggs and that was comfort food, period. The sujuk was tasty and savoury. The Amazing Chicken wrap received a thumbs-up from the toughest critic of all time - a teenager who usually only likes fast food! Finally, something needs to be said about the Turkish coffee. It was aromatic, and one must first inhale the wonderful aroma before taking a sip. It came with many layers of flavour, definitely not your lousy Starbucks swill. What a wonderful find!

We just visited Zaatargy today and had the pleasure of trying their Lebanese manakish, and wow, what an experience! The dough was absolutely perfect: soft, fresh, and baked to golden perfection. The zaatar blend was truly exceptional, with a spot on balance of sumac and thyme that gave it a rich, authentic flavor. We also tried the cheese and sesame manakish, and it was amazing, they use Akkawi cheese, the traditional choice for Lebanese cheese pies, which made all the difference. And let’s not forget the lahem b’ajeen, flavorful, well seasoned, and beautifully baked. The restaurant itself has a warm, inviting vibe and delivers a true taste of Lebanon. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Lebanese flavors!

Great Food, Needs Better Service The place is nice and comfortable, and the food is delicious — definitely one of the best pie spots in the GTA. However, the dine-in service needs improvement. There is a clear shortage of staff in the dining area, and unfortunately we had to clean the table ourselves. Overall, great food and atmosphere, but better service organization and more staff would make a big different

I had an absolutely fantastic breakfast experience at Zaatargy in Mississauga! The manakish was incredible—especially the za’atar and cheese. I also loved the falafel plate, and the tea was perfect. The customer service was top-notch, and the vibe was just so warm and welcoming. It truly felt like having breakfast back home. Five stars, highly recommend!

Zaatargy (formerly CheeZaatar) is a high-quality, authentic Lebanese restaurant that I’ve been visiting for about four years now. It’s hands down my favorite spot for shawarma. One standout detail is that all the flatbreads are freshly baked on-site in their oven, which really elevates the food. The Twisted Shawarma wrap is my go-to and consistently excellent. I’ve tried their Manakish several times—both Zaatar and Beef—and they’ve always been very good. We had the Zaatar & Beef Manakish along with the Twisted Shawarma again today, and everything was freshly prepared, flavorful, and satisfying as always. The restaurant itself is spacious and works well for both small and large groups. Customer service is friendly and polite—nothing over-the-top, but I’ve had no complaints so far. Overall, this is a hidden gem in Mississauga. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to try authentic Lebanese food or for shawarma lovers in general.
